The Identity-Lens Project crew is taking a trip from our HQ in Vancouver, BC up to Whistler, BC for a very special event taking place on September 15th. The first Rainbow Crosswalk in Whistler is set to be unveiled, and we’re going to be there!
The Rainbow Crosswalk marks both Whistler Pride and Ski Festival’s 25th Anniversary.
Friend of the Identity-Lens Project, and Gay Rights Activist Leader, Dean Wilson of GayWhistler.com, has very kindly invited us up there for the event, and to meet and connect with key LGBT people and key community leaders.
This will very much be an exploratory trip for us, we are specifically going up to learn as much as we can about the Gay Pride movement and those who dedicate their lives to the cause.
Our goal to is learn as much as we can, but also to document the event with photos.
If we can raise enough funds via Patreon before the trip, we will also be able to afford to bring film equipment with us to capture video footage of the Rainbow Crosswalk unveiling event!
